Swimming - The Beach is open and lifeguards are on duty Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 5:45 p.m. Swimming is permitted at the beach during those hours or from private boat docks. After hours, swimming is at your own risk.

Fishing - The fish are always biting in Eagles Mere. The lake is home to perch, largemouth bass, stocked rainbow and brown trout, sunnies, bluegills, and catfish. Licensing is required as per PA Fish and Boat Commision. Fishing is not allowed in the beach swimming area or from the beach swimming dock at any time. The EMA boat docks are generally open for fishing, including the designated Hardly Able boat docks, except when the Able is in operation. We ask that fisher persons be considerate of barefoot patrons and police their hooks. Fishing is for members and their guests only.
Boating - Boating for temporary members is by rental at the boat dock only. Members who desire to use their own boats must register their boats with the EMA. Lifejackets are required on all of our boats and so are available to borrow. We have infant through adult jackets, or bring your own. Click to view The PA Fish and Boat Commission web site.
Open Water Swims - If you are interested in swimming across the lake you must register with the Beach Desk and be followed by a canoe with 2 paddlers and life jackets for all.
Volleyball and Basketball - Courts are located at the beach and are used without reservation when there are no Athletic Association scheduled games. Bring your own ball or borrow one of ours.
Playground - The Beach is home to Eagles Mere’s playground. Kids of all ages enjoy playground equipment.
Tennis - Eagles Mere Tennis Center -Owned and operated by the non-profit Eagles Mere Athletic Association (EMAA), the center provides Eagles Mere youth the opportunity to learn a life-long sport, while offering players of all ages a quality recreational and competitive tennis facility. There are 5 well-maintained Har-Tru Courts, a tennis pavilion with restrooms, and a professional staff for lessons and clinics. Click here to visit the EMAA website for more information and rates.
Dewire Center Sports Court - Also, owned and operated by the EMAA, located behind the David Dewire Center, the Sports Court is open for tennis (as well as half-court basketball and pickleball) each day. There is no charge to use this court. Golf - Eagles Mere Country Club -The Eagles Mere Country Club is a premier, private club with a lovely pro shop pavilion and dining rooms overlooking our golf course and beyond to the majestic panoramic views of The Endless Mountains. With a rich tradition of over 100 years of history, the Club sits on one of the most beautiful mountain settings in Pennsylvania and has a true William Flynn-designed golf course. The clubhouse is a beautiful compliment to the Club. With tennis, Pickle Ball, and a Fitness Center, the EMCC is a club to enjoy in many seasons. Click here for the EMCC website.
Organized Games - The Eagles Mere Athletic Association (EMAA) organizes encourages, and promotes recreational activities in Eagles Mere, Pennsylvania, during the summer vacation season. Every summer, the EMAA provides an eight week season packed with events for all age groups. Daily Activities - There are activities for ages Little Eagle through Bald Eagle during the summer season. These range from water sports, to volleyball and games on the Field of Dreams. Check out the Treetop Eagle for the daily schedule.
Sailing Lessons- Both private lessons and clinics on Opti’s and Sunfish are offered by the EMAA.
Field of Dreams - Adjacent to the beach is the Field of Dreams, the site of many EMAA organized sporting activities. As ball playing and frisbee throwing is limited at the beach, it is also a great place for pick-up games.
