Eagles Mere is a unique vacation destination no matter what time of year you visit. Whether you are a family, an artist or an accidental tourist, there are many things to do in and near our slice of heaven. The lake is the centerpiece of the community and offers recreational and social activities for all age groups and abilities. Summer is high season in Eagles Mere and the village is full of summer residents as well as vacationers who rent cottages or stay in local inns. The Eagles Mere Association (EMA) owns, protects and maintains the lake, outlet pond, and a strip of shoreline around these waters. Vacationers may take advantage of all the EMA has to offer through temporary membership in the EMA. Eagles Mere is more than just a summer destination - each season has something unique to offer. Just a few of the things you can enjoy while visiting Eagles Mere include lake-related activities such as swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, or beach fun. You can also participate in organized games, sports and social activities for all ages, as well as hiking, biking, golfing, tennis, dining, visiting museums, attending craft shows, fairs, multi-denominational religious services, shopping, camping, and a whole host of other activities that are bound to help you and your family create new traditions and multi-generational memories. For those interested in music and making art, the Friends of the Arts offers a full schedule of concerts and art classes during the summer. Spring and fall are also spectacular in this picturesque area, and the winter brings a whole new range of things to do – like cross country skiing, ice skating, the Eagles Mere Fire Company’s toboggan slide (when ice conditions permit).
